SABINE PREVENTION ALLIANCE

In 2019 Sabine Parish was designated as one of Louisiana’s highest risk parishes for underage drinking and its consequences. As a result, the La Dept. of Health selected Sabine and 9 other parishes to receive support in order to establish community-based coalitions.
These coalitions work to enhance collaboration between the schools, law enforcement, health care, faith-based, community organizations, parents and youth in the prevention of underage drinking and other related risk factors.
Sabine Prevention Alliance is a parish-wide coalition funded through the La. Office of Behavioral Health PFS II Grant in partnership with the Northwest Louisiana Human Services District to bring local resources together to prevent and reduce underage drinking in our Parish.
